Mouse pointer stuck as I login

Mouse pointer stuck as I login

I am facing this problem,and I don't know I dig into it. As I log into
Ubuntu my mouse pointer get stuck. I have tried the following methods:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
I have also tried this:
sudo apt-get install -f
sudo dpkg --configure -a
sudo apt-get install -f
Also, lots of other methods. But none works for me. Please guide me how I
can restore my pointer.
I don't face this problem when I log in as a Guest user in Ubuntu, also my
mouse starts moving when I attach an external USB mouse.
